Milan isn’t a cheap city, but it’s possible saving money if we plan beforehand. For example, you should avoid Fashion weeks (one is between September and October and other among February and March because in this periods, prices are more high.
The best and cheaper accommodation are hostels and tourist apartment. However, if we prefer a hotel, we could get a good price in a suburbs of Milan.
The best transport for travel to Milan is the plane. The Bergamo Airport is the company who offer more low cost flight. In addition, we can buy a accommodation and flight pack for saving money.
Milan is a city with a good public transport. It is recommendable travel to bus and trams. There are two options: one of this is buy a daily ticket which allow us travel limitless around Milan. The other is Milano Card, which includes public transport, a free personal driver and free entry or discounts at more than 500 Milan tourist attractions including over 20 museums, tours, fine Italian restaurants, hotels, shops, events tickets and more.

In Milan there are lot of places to visit, for this reason a good way to saving money is the Milano Card.
Furthermore, there are free options as a free tour (you have to contract beforehand) to visit the most emblematic monument. In addition, we can visit any of more important places for 0 €: Sempione Park, Sforza Castle and Art Gallery, among others.
For saving money it’s very useful avoid restaurants, terraces, coffee shop and other very tourist places. Even though drinks isn’t cheap, the price of meals isn’t very expensive. However, we have to pay a cover charge (between 1,5 € and 6 €).
